How to find your Verkada licence expiry date

It takes about a minute in Command, and knowing it changes what we can do for you — particularly if you are inside the thirty-day grace period.

    Sign in to Command as an administrator

    You need admin rights on the organisation. If you do not have them, the person who does is usually whoever the original installer set up — and if nobody knows, that is worth resolving before the renewal rather than during it.

    Open the licensing area for the organisation

    Licensing sits at organisation level, not per device, because Verkada licences co-term to a single date across the whole organisation.

    Read the expiry date, and the device counts beside it

    The counts matter as much as the date. They are what your renewal is priced on, and they are where you will find devices that no longer exist on site.

    Write down the organisation name as it appears

    That is the only piece of Command information we need in order to price a renewal. Not a login, not a password, not footage — just the name.

If you cannot get into Command at all

It happens more than you would think, usually because the administrator has left. Ring us on 01727 822 833 and we will talk you through getting access back. That is a support problem rather than a sales one, and we will help either way.

A warning about who asks you for what

Nobody needs your Command password to quote a licence renewal. Not us, not another reseller, not somebody who has telephoned you about your expiring licences. If you are asked for credentials, that is a reason to stop the conversation.

Common questions

We have several sites. Is there one date or several?
One date per Command organisation. If your sites are all in one organisation, that is a single expiry date covering the lot. Some multi-site customers are split across several organisations, in which case each has its own.
Does the date show anywhere other than Command?
Verkada emails the organisation’s administrators thirty days before expiry. If that email has been going to somebody who left, nobody sees it — which is the usual story behind an unexpectedly lapsed licence.
Do you need us to send you a screenshot?
No. The organisation name and roughly how many of each device type you have is enough for us to price it. We confirm the exact numbers before anything is ordered.
