Worth knowing
Licensed per site, not per device.
Verkada Classic Alarms is end-of-sale in the UK
The alarm system sold in the UK is Classic Alarms — the BP41 panel with BR-series sensors. Verkada’s newer alarm range is listed as available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, not the United Kingdom. Classic Alarms went end-of-sale on 1 August 2026 and is supported until 1 August 2027, and Verkada has not published a UK migration path. You can still renew this licence and you should — but if you run Verkada alarms in the UK, that 2027 date is a conversation worth having now. We will tell you what we know and, just as importantly, what we do not.
Which devices take the alarms licence, basic
Verified against Verkada’s own datasheets. If your model is not here it is almost certainly an older one, and it almost certainly still licences — search the full list or just ask.
| Model | What it is |
|---|---|
| BP41The UK alarm panel | With BR-series sensors: BR11/12/13 wired, BR31 contact, BR32 motion, BR33 panic, BR35 water |
| Licensed per siteNot per device | One licence covers the panel, keypads and all sensors at one physical address |
Is your hardware end-of-sale? It still renews.
Verkada supports a product for ten years after its end-of-sale date, and licences stay purchasable and renewable throughout — a CD52 that went end-of-sale in 2025 is supported into 2035 and renews normally. Better still, Verkada lets licence value transfer to upgraded hardware, so a renewal is also the natural moment to replace a camera without throwing the licence away. The full end-of-sale list is here.
Count sites, not devices.
The alarm licence covers a whole site — panel, keypads and sensors together.
Co-terming
Verkada licences share one expiry date across your whole Command organisation, so this renews alongside everything else you hold.
Drop before you renew
Devices that have been removed but never deleted from Command are still billable. Tell us and we will take them off.
We check before we order
You are not committed to the counts you put in the basket. We confirm the part numbers with you first.
