Is your hardware end-of-sale? It still renews.

Verkada supports a product for ten years after its end-of-sale date, and licences stay purchasable and renewable throughout — a CD52 that went end-of-sale in 2025 is supported into 2035 and renews normally. Better still, Verkada lets licence value transfer to upgraded hardware, so a renewal is also the natural moment to replace a camera without throwing the licence away. Counting

Count every Verkada camera on the estate, including the ones nobody looks at.

Cameras that have been taken down but never removed from Command are the most common thing we find on a renewal. Tell us and we will drop them.

Co-terming

Verkada licences share one expiry date across your whole Command organisation, so this renews alongside everything else you hold.

Drop before you renew

Devices that have been removed but never deleted from Command are still billable. Tell us and we will take them off.

About the camera licence

What does the camera licence actually pay for?
It renews one camera. In practice that is continued access to Command on the web and the mobile app, the AI and alerting features, cloud retention where the licence includes it, firmware and security updates, and Verkada’s own technical support. The hardware is yours either way; the licence is what makes it usable.
Can I renew just some of them?
Not really, and this trips people up. Verkada licences co-term to a single expiry date across your whole Command organisation, so the estate renews together. What you can do is drop devices you no longer use before the renewal — which is worth doing, and is the main reason it pays to look at the list rather than just say yes to last year’s number.
Is the price on this page what I will pay?
It is Verkada’s list price converted into pounds, which is a fair anchor and is more than anyone else in the UK publishes. It is not a quotation. Your price is agreed with us and confirmed in writing, and in practice it lands below list.
Is a longer term cheaper?
Per year, yes — £809 over 5 years works out at £162 a year against £183 a year on the one-year licence. Whether that is the right call depends on how confident you are about the estate over that period, which is a real question and not just a sales objection. There is an honest page about it.
