Who is responsible
SEGcore is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Registered in England and Wales, company number 16544131, registered office Unit 4 Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead Industrial Estate, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7TE. What we collect, and only when you send it
From the enquiry forms: your name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, billing address, and any company or VAT number, PO number or accounts contact you choose to give us.
About your Verkada deployment: your Command organisation name, licence expiry date, device counts, and any serial numbers you choose to send. We do not ask for and do not want your Command login credentials, and we will never request them.
Automatically: when a form is submitted, our forms provider records the submission and we attempt to record the approximate location, organisation and IP address the enquiry came from, so that an enquiry can be routed and recognised. If that lookup fails, the enquiry is sent anyway.
Your renewal schedule is held in your own browser’s local storage so that it survives you moving between pages. It stays on your device, it is never transmitted to us until you submit the form, and you can clear it at any time with the “clear the basket” button.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to a business enquiry you have sent us — or, where you go on to place an order, the performance of a contract.
To place and support a licence order with our distributor and with Verkada, where you accept a quotation. Our lawful basis is the performance of that contract.
To keep proper business records, including for tax and accounting. Our lawful basis is our legal obligations.
We do not use enquiry data for marketing unrelated to your enquiry, and we do not sell or rent it to anybody.
Who else sees it
Our website is hosted, and its forms are processed, by Netlify. Enquiry emails reach us through our own business email system.
Where you accept a quotation, the information needed to place and apply the licences is shared with our Verkada distributor and with Verkada Inc. That is how a licence gets onto your Command organisation; it is not optional.
Some of these providers process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.
We do not share your details with anyone else without telling you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become orders: [retention period - to be confirmed], after which they are deleted.
Quotations and orders: [retention period - to be confirmed], to meet our accounting and contractual obligations.
These periods must be confirmed before this site goes live.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it on the basis of legitimate interests, and ask for it in a portable form. Write to hello@verkadarenewals.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first, but you do not have to.
Please do not send us these
Through the forms on this website, please do not send Command passwords or API keys, camera footage or images of identifiable people, details of a live security incident, or personal data about pupils, staff or service users. If something is sensitive, telephone us instead.
