The 2026 Verkada price increase

Verkada raised list prices on 5 June 2026. If you bought before then, you do not meet the new prices until you renew — which for a lot of UK organisations is happening about now.

What happened

The facts, and the one thing Verkada did not publish

Verkada announced an increase to its list prices effective 5 June 2026, attributing it to rising costs for AI, memory and storage, and to US tariffs. The announcement stated plainly that the change “does not impact products purchased before June 5, 2026”, and that customers who bought earlier would not pay the higher prices “until they renew their licenses or expand their deployment”.

That last clause is the one that matters to you. A renewal is repriced at current list. If your last renewal was three or five years ago, the number you are about to be quoted is not the number you remember.

Verkada published the detail of the increase as an image rather than as a table, so the per-family percentages are not something anyone outside Verkada can quote precisely. What follows is reconstructed by comparing published list prices before and after — it is accurate as arithmetic, but it is our working, not Verkada’s statement.

The shape of it

It was not a flat percentage, and that matters

Anyone who tells you “Verkada went up twenty per cent” is generalising from cameras. Several families did not move at all.

Why we will not give you exact percentages

Because we would have to publish figures we cannot source to Verkada, and this site’s only real asset is that its numbers are right. The current list prices are on the price list, in pounds, with the dollar figure they came from. That is the honest version.

What to do about it

Three sensible responses

Look at the list before you renew

Not at last year’s invoice. The current numbers are here, which is more than you will get anywhere else in the UK.

Take the removed devices off

The fastest way to absorb a list increase is to stop paying for cameras that are not there. This is the single biggest saving on most renewals.

Consider a longer term, carefully

A longer term defers your exposure to the next increase. It is a real hedge, but it is a commitment against an estate that might change. The honest comparison is here.
